Montana Women’s Climbing Festival
A community-focused climbing festival
Montana Women's Climbing Festival seeks to provide space for non-dominant genders to express themselves, climb, share stories and make connections.
We have accomplished bringing more than 80 Montanan climbers together - we have fostered allyship and self-reliance that serves and empowers beyond the rock.
Expect a stacked program with local speakers and experts over three days of camping and climbing. The event will start off Friday night with an indigenous-led talk about the land we play on and will merge into group connecting activities. In the morning, participants will share breakfast and hot drinks, morning yoga, and get ready for climbing and clinics.
Clinics will happen Saturday and Sunday and may include topics such as: gym to crag, fear of falling, climbing photography, etc. We support and staff female, genderqueer, adaptive, and BIPOC athletes, guides and speakers.
Female Climbers Collective’s purpose is to strengthen and empower women, genderqueer people, and minorities in the climbing community. We connect women and create a safe space to move, learn, and act freely. We provide accessible, affordable education to underrepresented groups in climbing and in the mountains and promote stewardship in the outdoors.
Female Climbers Collective’s vision is to foster a tight-knit, women’s climbing community in rural places, across the state of Montana, and beyond. We strive to create authentic, personal connections, inclusive spaces, and mentorship for non-dominant groups.
