It offers tools/education for inquiry, a shareable educational model, and the hub for a community that cares to build a better future.
Want to be a better ally in the outdoors? At its heart, The Outdoorist Oath Workshops share an educational model that wraps up in an action-based commitment, ahem, an Oath, for Planet, Inclusion, and Adventure (PIA).
The workshop guides you through a) understanding why PIA are the pillars upon which we ground this work, b) key reflections that will allow you to create a personalized plan of action for PIA, and c) an introduction to wayfinding or using nature’s examples as moving and thinking methodologies. Lastly, anyone who attends is welcome to officially “Take The Oath” with us at the top of the workshop
Before our public launch, we tapped into our communities to gather interest in the idea of The Oath and to have The Oath Workshop be informed by the expertise of our collective extended communities. We believe these folks to have been living out The Oath well before its conception, and we will be forever grateful for their examples, expertise, and actions that make our outdoor spaces better every day.
