Alpacka Raft was born based on a collective inspiration—a 600-mile packrafting traverse of Alaska's Brooks Range and a design genius who knew she could make a better-performing packraft. Sheri and Thor Tingey founded Alpacka Raft in the fall of 2000.

Alpacka Raft puts gear repair front and center. We're fans of extending the lifespan of gear through proper care and repair. Alpacka's repair page has great information on diagnosis, types of damage, tools, and materials to get you back out there on the water. Each packraft includes a thorough repair kit to help you in the backcountry. The repair video is high quality, offering incredibly helpful and detailed how-to information on a variety of repairs and materials.
