From founder, Natasha Buffo: I am a former Silicon Valley business analyst turned solo world traveler, snowboarder, and backpacker. Writing became my passion during a 10-day service trip to Uganda, Africa, where I discovered that our most powerful experiences cannot be captured with a photograph or a video, but only with words. From witnessing addiction, to the early passing of both of my parents, to caregiving to depression, I’ve lived many more lives than most people my age, and therefore can speak to experiences beyond my years.
As a proud ambassador for Coalition Snow, I am part of a community that is not only trailblazing for women but is actively creating space for black and trans folks in the outdoor industry. In order to re-imagine the employee experience at my home ski resort, I founded annual events, such as Proud to be Me Week, the Multi-Cultural Celebration, and a Winter Gear Swap. As an advocate for mental health, I am a Certified Instructor for Adult Mental Health First Aid USA, am trained in safeTalk Suicide Prevention, and am an active member of the OneWave Fluro Friday community.
