Stream2Sea was founded in 2015 by Autumn Blum, an avid scuba diver, award-winning cosmetic chemist, and ocean advocate.
While scuba diving in Palau, she saw an oil slick coming off a group of snorkelers and realized it was from their sunscreen. She then noticed divers washing off with fragrant, sudsy shampoo that flowed directly into the pristine waters. As a result, she became obsessed with the impact of not just conventional sunscreens, but personal care products as well, on our aquatic environment.
As a cosmetic chemist, Autumn knew that she could make something better and safer. Fast forward 8 years and Stream2Sea products are known as the 'Marine Professional's Choice and can be found in finer retail locations around the world.
As an ocean advocate & ingredient expert, Autumn has testified on a number of panels that have led to the banning of chemical sunscreens & sunscreen ingredients in the Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Palau, the Florida Keys, and more. She is committed to consciously formulating products that are safe for you, your family, and our blue planet - and will never let you down on your wildest adventures!
