elevateHER is a nonprofit organization based in Chaffee County, Colorado, that uses a holistic approach to programming that lets us nurture each girl’s mind, body, and soul.

Founded in early 2017, elevateHER is targeted towards young women, grades 6-12. We began programming after identifying a variety of major barriers to outdoor access for participants, including cost, lack of knowledge, and early exposure to substance abuse. By combatting these barriers through a holistic approach that is focused around empowering the mind, body, and soul, our mission emerged: to foster self-worth and grit in young women through mentoring, outdoor adventure, and holistic wellness programs. After a year of programming and testing, we are excited to expand beyond Buena Vista, Colorado, into several surrounding areas, and to impact more young women than ever before.
